Elevit is a pregnancy multivitamin containing 18 vitamins and minerals that can benefit mothers-to-be.

Elevit contains 800mcg of folic acid as recommended by the Ministry of Health, and is clinically proven to reduce the risk of neural tube defects, such as spina bifida, by 92%.

It also contains 60mg of iron to prevent dietary iron deficiency.

Additionally, Elevit contains magnesium, calcium, zinc, phosphorus and B-group vitamins, all of which play a role in the health and wellbeing of you and your baby.

Vitamin B1 1.6 mg, Vitamin B2 1.8 mg, Vitamin B5 10 mg, Vitamin B6 2.6 mg, Folic Acid 800 mcg, Vitamin B12 4.0 mcg, Vitamin C 100 mg, Vitamin D3 12.5 mcg, Vitamin E 15 mg, Biotin 200 mcg, Nicotinamide 19 mg, Calcium 125 mg, Iron 60 mg, Magnesium 100 mg, Phosphorus 125 mg, Copper 1.0 mg, Manganese 1.0 mg, Zinc 7.5 mg

Indication(s) and Use(s):

Elevit has shown in clinical trials to be beneficial in pregnancy and reduce the likelihood of neural tube defects (Spina Bifida).

Elevit can assist in the prevention of iron and folic acid anaemia.

Dose:

Adult: Take one tablet daily, or as directed by your health professional.

Take Elevit if possible for at least 3 months before pregnancy, and throughout pregnancy and the breast feeding period.

Do not exceed recommended daily dose.

Precautions:

Pregnant women should get healthcare professional advice prior to taken any medicine.

If you have had a baby with spina bifida/neural tube defects you should seek specific medical advice.

Some medications may require you to take a higher dose of folic acid than provided in this tablet, to prevent neural tube defects. Please seek specific medical advice if you take regularly prescribed medicines.

Adverse Reactions/Side Effects:

Side effects may include constipation, diarrhoea and heartburn

In some cases, possible adverse effects may include hypersensitivity reactions to ingredients in this product.
