Dimetapp Elixir is an effective, pleasant tasting, sugar free formulation for the relief of cold and allergy symptoms. It contains an antihistamine to relieve a runny nose, itchy, watery eyes and sneezing and a decongestant to relieve nasal and sinus congestion.

DOSAGE

Children 2 ro 4 years: 4ml 3 or 4 times a day

Children 4 to 6 years: 5ml 3 or 4 times a day

Children 6 to 12 years: 7.5ml 3 or 4 times a day

Adults: 10ml 3 or 4 times a day

Do not exceed 4 doses in any 24 hour period. Not to be used in children under 2 years of age without medical advice.

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

Brompheniramine Maleate 2mg, Phenylephrine Hydrochloride 5mg

Also contains: Sodium benzoate, Saccharin sodium, Sugar free. This product contains sorbitol (16.8g/40ml), which may have a laxative effect or cause diarrhoea.

CAUTIONS

This medication may cause drowsiness. If affected, do not drive a vehicle or operate machinery. Avoid alcohol. Do not exceed the recommended dosage.

If you suffer from high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, glaucoma, difficulty in passing urine due to enlargement of the prostate, hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients, or are taking antidepressant medication or are taking sedatives or tranquilizers seek medical advice before taking this preparation. As with any medication, woman who are pregnant or nursing should seek medical advice before taking this product. If symptoms persist for more than 48 hours or are accompanied by a high fever, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted before continuing use.
